Research at the faculty

The world is facing major and complex societal challenges. Democracy and the rule of law are under increased global pressure and public discourse is more polarized. Social science research is important to unleash the potential of new technology and digital arenas.

The social sciences contribute research-based knowledge that is necessary to understand, explain and solve global challenges. To address climate and environmental crises, reduce social inequalities and promote effective digital transformation, knowledge transfer from the discipline-based and interdisciplinary research at the Faculty of Social Sciences is needed.
