Trine Moholdt is an exercise physiologist and physiotherapist. She works as a researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where she leads the research group Exercise, Cardiometabolic Health, and Reproduction (ExCaR). Her research focuses on how exercise and nutrition can prevent and treat cardiometabolic diseases in women of reproductive age. Moholdt has received several prestigious awards and grants, including the Future Leader in Diabetes Award and an ERC Starting Grant to study how exercise affects breast milk composition. On Monday, April 28, the Center for Research on Women’s Heart Disease will host a visit from Trine Moholdt. She will present findings from her research on how high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and time-restricted eating can reduce abdominal fat and significantly improve health outcomes.
