PhD candidate Marit Sandberg has received NOK 300,000 in operational funding for her project on pregnancy and childbirth in women with congenital heart disease. The project will link information from the FS database and the Norwegian Patient Registry on hospital‑based care with data from the Medical Birth Registry of Norway, the Cause of Death Registry, and the National Population Register. Pregnancy and birth complications among women with congenital heart disease will be compared with those of other pregnant women during the period 1994–2014.
The support from the “Bergen Women’s Public Health Association” will enable extended data access up to 2020, thereby increasing the significance and impact of the project.
