There was an excellent turnout when professor and cardiologist Eva Ringdal Pedersen delivered the lecture “Cholesterol in Women – An Underestimated Risk Factor” on Monday, November 10.
The lunch seminar sparked engagement and a lively debate on how cholesterol affects women’s heart health throughout life, and why the impact of high cholesterol is often underestimated after menopause. Professor Pedersen also emphasized the importance of proper treatment for women with familial hypercholesterolemia before and after childbirth.
The event was organized by the Center for Research on Heart Disease in Women, and the strong response clearly demonstrates the importance of this topic.
