Welcome to this CET Lunch seminar with Anna Birgitte Milford, researcher at the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy.

Small-scale vegetable producers, including so-called «market gardeners», employ production methods and sales channels that diverge from those of the mainstream food system. These initiatives are typically organic, diverse, use local resources as input factors, and they sell produce through short supply chains such as farmers’ markets. Their potential to contribute to a sustainable food transition will be explored through the lens of my previous research on small-scale horticulture and the new NFR-project “SmallHort”.
