Through the different research projects affiliated with the center, key areas of expertise include criminal responsibility, law and mental health, and children and criminal justice.
The forum aims to advance legal scholarship by incorporating diverse research methodologies. Methodologically, the forum seeks to complement nationally oriented legal dogmatics with international and interdisciplinary perspectives on criminal law, as well as empirical and comparative research methods and socio-legal analysis.
The forum is largely oriented toward the international legal academic discourse, and collaborate with several leading research environments both in Norway and abroad.
