Polyfon is a national knowledge cluster for music therapy. Through the OPPTAKT project, we are developing regional hubs across Norway. We are now looking for two new members from Southern Norway to join our live experience panel.

What is the lived experience panel?

The lived experience panel is an advisory body for Polyfon. It contributes experiences, perspectives and advice on matters related to research, service development, education and communication.

The aim is to ensure that the experiences of service users, family carers and others with relevant lived experience are heard and taken into account in the development of the field of music therapy.

Who can apply?

We welcome applications from people who:

  • have personal experience of music therapy or the use of music in health and care services, either as service users or family carers, or have experience from user, family carer or advocacy organisations
  • have a connection to Southern Norway
  • would like to contribute to the development of the field of music therapy
  • are interested in involvement and collaboration

We encourage applications from people with a wide range of experiences, backgrounds and perspectives, including experience from different life situations, services and organisations.

What does the role involve?

As a member of the lived experience panel, you may:

  • provide advice and input to Polyfon's work
  • contribute experiences and perspectives to development projects, research activities and policy advocacy
  • take part in the planning and delivery of activities and events
  • help strengthen the lived experience perspective within the field of music therapy

The panel usually meets five to six times a year. Most meetings are held online, while some take place in person.

Members are appointed for a two-year term and receive remuneration for their participation.
