New secondary position

On 1 September 2025, Tonje Nesse Forland, PhD, joins the Department of Physics and Technology in a secondary position as Associate Professor. Forland has her Master's and doctoral degrees in Acoustics from UiB. She remains in her primary position as Researcher at Institute of Marine Research, Group for Acoustics and Observation Methodologies. She has also been product developer within acoustic instrumentation for the petroleum industry, and post doc. at UiB with focus on anthropogenic noise in the oceans. Forland will participate as lecturer, supervisor, and researcher with the Acoustics Group and the study programme Ocean Technology.
