Why did you choose to study System Dynamics?
To transition into the area of Economics, but with a learning path that matched my interest for thinking holistically, long term and critically.
What is your current occupation?
I teach IT (technology, digital tools, how to research information, etc) to children (9-12 years old) at a public school.
How are the System Dynamics studies of relevance for you in your work?
They helped me view the world in a different way, but I don't use my SD experience directly in my work.
What is your advice to new System Dynamics students?
Appreciate System Dynamics for what it is: a window (or door!) into a new way to look at the world, a new perspective to solve problems. Don't expect a "functional" degree that can take you straight into a high-paying job, but instead a learning experience that will allow you to open your life to new experiences in roles you've thought were impossible before. SD is a tool that is part of a larger philosophy, which can be explored during and after the Master's.
