Knowledge shapes society
UiB is the host institution for a number of major research infrastructures. Several of these are operated in collaboration with other institutions.
UiB has several core facilities with advanced equipment and highly qualified personnel that are available to users from all sectors, both nationally and internationally. This helps strengthen academic communities, create arenas for research collaboration, and keep the costs of expensive technical equipment down.
