Integrated Research Infrastructure Services for Climate Change risks (IRISCC)
IRISCC provides scientific and knowledge services to foster cutting-edge research and evidence-based policymaking to improve Europe's resilience to climate change.
About the research project
Climate change presents a complex challenge that requires a deep understanding of its impacts on human systems, natural environments, and production processes. IRISCC is a powerful consortium of leading European research infrastructures. The collective goal of the project is to enhance society's ability to manage and increase resilience to climate risks, thereby promoting a more sustainable future for Europe.
The Department of Biosciences participates in the project as an Affiliated Entity under the EMBRC ERIC umbrella. A significant portion of the project's funds are TNA funds. These are funds that researchers can apply for to cover research stays at scientific institutions. The first call for TNA funds was launched in the spring of 2025.
