For over ten years, the Norwegian Citizen Panel at the University of Bergen has asked questions to thousands of randomly selected residents across Norway. We have been interested in tracking Norwegians’ attitudes and opinions over time, through the oil crisis, the refugee crisis, rural uprisings, economic downturns, and more.

To learn more about many of the variables that have asked of citizens over time, click the button below. Here, we present opinion trends from the Norwegian Citizen Panel. In addition to the trends, you can also find “Trend Notes” in the menu, where researchers have analyzed and commented on selected trends. You can also explore our data yourself through the “Explore Our Data” section.

You can also explore Citizen Panel data on Sikt’s website.
