Course description
Objectives and Content
The aim of the master’s thesis is to carry out an independent study of a relevant topic within politics and public administration. The student is responsible for selecting the research problem, designing the study, and conducting empirical analyses, and must summarize the key components of the investigation in the form of a master’s thesis. Through this course, students gain experience in formulating precise research questions, engaging with existing knowledge on a self-chosen topic, and designing a research project that contributes new insights to the field.
To ensure proper supervision throughout the research process and that scientific standards are met, the thesis topic and research problem must be based on one of the thematically organized research groups at the department. Students are expected to participate in the research seminar organized by the group, follow a mandatory supervision plan, and work consistently on writing the thesis throughout the duration of the course.
