You can book a guided tour of the gardens. The price is NOK 50 per person, with a minimum price of NOK 600 per guide (up to approximately 30 people per guide). Tours in English, French, German or Finnish can be arranged on request.

Friends of the Arboretum
The Friends of the Arboretum run regular tours during the summer season – Sundays on Milde, where guides show visitors around the gardens. Private tours can also be booked. The association also holds volunteer sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays, open to all, plus events throughout the year.

Follow «Arboretet og botanisk hage» on Facebook or check the events calendar. The tours are free and last about an hour, and everyone is welcome to join. Just turn up – there is no need to sign up in advance. Most tours follow gravel paths, with some sections on narrower trails.

Would you like to volunteer at the Arboretum and Bergen Botanical Garden?
Some members of the Friends of the Arboretum contribute a great deal of voluntary work. This can include help with planting, weeding, forestry work, and collecting and cleaning seeds. The friends' association also helps run events. Anyone with the time and energy is warmly welcome to take part.
The Friends of the Arboretum meet for volunteer work every Monday from 10 am to 2 pm. Taking part is, of course, entirely voluntary. Volunteers at the Arboretum and Botanical Garden get to enjoy good company with like-minded people, and the feeling of contributing to a shared community.

Would you like to become a member of the Friends of the Arboretum and support the gardens?
As a member, you can take part in the plant sale in April, where you can find plants not sold in garden centres, you will receive a fine annual publication, Grobladet, with news about the plant collections on Milde, and you can join themed walks in the Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Members are also offered firewood bags at a reasonable price. Proceeds from the friends' association go towards supporting the Arboretum and Bergen Botanical Garden.

Would you or your group like a private tour of the gardens?
Guides from the Friends of the Arboretum are happy to take private groups on tours, and try to adapt to the group's wishes and needs. Minimum price NOK 600.
