Forskning
Anna Oleyniks forskningsområder er matematisk modellering, dynamiske systemer, optimalisering og overvåking av havmiljøet. Hun har lang erfaring med matematisk analyse av nevralfeltmodeller, og har i senere tid arbeidet med inverse problemer, optimaliseringsmetoder, numerisk analyse og simulering.
Hun har vært involvert i overvåking av offshore CO₂-lagring gjennom Academia-avtaleprosjektet AMOFF (Assurance Monitoring for Offshore CO₂ Storage Sites) og ACTOM-prosjektet (ACT on Offshore Monitoring). Anna er medlem av modelleringsteamet i NAMC (North Atlantic Microplastic Centre), hvor arbeidet handler om å forutsi mikroplastens utbredelse og identifisere områder med opphopning av plast, basert på numeriske modeller og simuleringer. Hun samarbeider også med SFI CRIMAC om å utvikle maskinlæringsmetoder for klassifisering av objekter i fiskeriakustikk, og deltar i prosjektet MATH4SDG (Mathematics for Sustainable Development).
