Prosjekter
Lavik-fanen, den eneste bemalte middelalder-fanen bevart i Norge, har blitt publisert flere ganger, men har aldri gjennomgått grundige materialteknologiske undersøkelser og analyser i moderne tid. Gjennom et samarbeidprosjekt med Universitetet i Oslo ønsker vi å få utført detaljerte undersøkelser av denne unike gjenstanden.
Kirkeskipprosjektet har som formål å konservere åtte kirkeskip fra Vestlandet som er en del av Universitetsmuseets samlinger av nyere kirkekunst.
Humle har hovedsakelig blitt brukt til ølbrygging, men den har også vært brukt til sovemidler og til antibakterielle formål. Det som er mindre kjent er at humlefibre har vært benyttet til fremstilling av både tau og papir. Dette er et tverrfaglig prosjekt som knytter Botanisk hage og Konserveringsseksjonen, begge Universitetsmuseet i Bergen, sammen med Institutt for fysikk og teknologi ved Universitetet i Bergen.

Historisk billedvev og tekstil fra samlingen av Kunstindustrimuseet i Praha – konservering og presentasjon. Et EØS prosjekt i samarbeid med Kunstindustrimuseum i Praha og Universitetsmuseum i Bergen (EHP-CZ06-OV-1-038-2014)
