My primary research interests are centered around the northern extremity of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation. In particular, I am interested in the pathways and processes through which the warm Atlantic inflow into the Nordic Seas is transformed into dense overflow waters and in deep convection in the subpolar North Atlantic.
