I mitt forskningsarbeid innen musikkterapi er jeg er opptatt av brukerperspektiv, relasjoner og kontekst. Jeg arbeider med ulike kritiske perspektiv som for eksempel empowerment filosofi, recovery og feministisk teori. I min forskning anvender jeg primært kvalitative forskningsmetoder. Som forsker har jeg spesielt engasjert meg i forhold til musikkterapi i psykisk helsearbeid.

Jeg har blant annet undervist i musikkterapiteori, kvalitativ forskningsmetodologi, oppgaveseminarer, musikkterapi i psykisk helsearbeid, musikkterapeutiske rollespill og profesjonskunnskap.
