Jeg er involvert i iEarth, et nasjonalt konsortium av geofaglige institutter som fikk status som Senter for fremragende utdanning i 2020. Jeg er iEarth Education Chair ved Institutt for geovitenskap og leder av iEarth fokusområde 1, som har som mål å skape et nytt rammeverk for utvikling av høyere utdanning. Endringsprosessen er også tema for doktorgradsprosjektet til Dario Blumenschein.
