• DNA Lab | Avdeling for naturhistorie | UiB
• Daglig drift av DNA lab (UM + BIO), herunder økonomi, bestilling av materiell, fordeling av utgifter mellom brukere, grupper og institusjoner tildeling av arealer, etc.
• Opplæring og autorisasjon av nye brukere på laben, samt regulere begrenset tilgang til enkelte avanserte instrumenter som bare skal opereres av kvalifisert personale.
• Å være metodisk oppdatert innenfor det området som den enkelte laboratorielinjen dekker, ha rådgivingsfunksjon i metodiske spørsmål forhold til de tekniske og faglige ansatte samt MSc- og PhD-studenter.
• I tråd med gitte retningslinjer, utføre tekniske tjenester for faglig ansatte.
• I tråd med gitte retningslinjer (opplæring etc) autorisere adgang til laboratoriene
• At laboratoriene blir utnyttet mest mulig effektivt.
• Å arrangere jevnlige labmøter for alle brukere av laben
• At vedtatte rutiner følges.
• Ansvarlig tekniker er HMS-ansvarlig for alle rom som inngår i laboratorielinjen.
