Forskning
Mette Vesterhus er ansatt som professor ved UiB (100%) og er undervisningsgruppeleder for propedeutikk ved K2. Hun er spesialist i fordøyelsessykdommer med spesiell interesse for leversykdommer og har en bistilling som overlege ved Haraldsplass diakonale sykehus. Forskningen hennes fokuserer på autoimmune leversykdommer, med særlig vekt på leverelastografi og biomarkører for sykdomsaktivitet og prognose ved primær skleroserende cholangitt. Hun leder Forskningsgruppe for leversykdommer ved Haraldsplass, NoPSC Bergen Clinical Research Group, og er prosjektleder for ScandPSC - Strategic Prospective Scandinavian PSC Biobank & Cohort og Nasjonalt nettverk for autoimmune leversykdommer.
