Jeg har undervist i mange kurs på Geofysen, og har bidratt til undervisning på UNIS, Svalbard, Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, Mosambik og  University of Namibia, Windhoek.Til støtte for undervisningen har jeg utarbeidet følgende kompendier. Gravity Waves (UiB), Barents Sea (UiB, UNIS). Arctic (UiB, UNIS), Antarctic (UiB, UNIS), Oceanography Inroductory Notes (UNAM, UEM UiB, inst. for Biologi)

Ny skole i Marine fag etablert i Mosambik.

Via NOMA programmet (2008-2014) ble det opprettet et nytt Masterstudium i marine fag ved School of Marine Sciences som ble lokalisert til Quelimane. Denne skolen, som ligger ved kysten i det sentrale Mosambik , er tilknyttet Universidade Eduardo Mondlane. Fram til 2014 har 25 tatt Mastergrad, 13 jenter og 12 gutter. De fleste har fått relevante jobber i offentlig sektor eller privat industri i Mosambik. Veiledere fra Geofysen har vært Eva Falck, Tor Gammelsrød, Øyvind Breivik, Rasmus Kulseng, Svein Sundby og Torbjørn Taskjelle. Dessuten har Kai Christensen, Meteorologisk Institutt i Oslo spilt en viktig rolle bl.a. ved å bidra i 3 feltekspedisjoner i Mosambik.
