Forskning

In my PhD research project, I look at responsive regulation in the education sector. The first part of the project consists of a comparative cross-national case study, including a comparison of the formal arrangement for education oversight (school inspection) in Norway, The Netherlands and England. In this study, a historical-institutionalist approach is used to clarify how the education oversight systems in these countries came about. In the following parts, attention shifts to the individual and organizational level of education oversight in Norway.

The general aims of the PhD project are to contribute to theory on regulation and to discuss aspects of education oversight in Norway.
