Nadia Skoglund Taki defended her PhD thesis

On 8 May 2026, Nadia Skoglund Taki successfully defended her PhD thesis at the Department of Mathematics, University of Bergen.

Her thesis, “A study of the well-posedness of dispersive water waves equations and variational inequalities in contact mechanics”, focuses on mathematical analysis of equations arising in fluid dynamics and contact mechanics.

The defense included an engaging scientific discussion with the evaluation committee and concluded successfully.
