The PhD programme at the Faculty of Psychology is a full-time research education programme with a nominal duration of three years. It consists of a training component worth 30 ECTS credits and a scientific thesis. Broad academic foundations in psychology, health, and education
The Faculty of Psychology conducts research and education within the fields of psychology, health, education and global issues. The faculty also collaborates with several partner institutions, providing PhD candidates with access to interdisciplinary research arenas.
The PhD education qualifies candidates for research and research leadership at an international standard, as well as for other positions in society that require a high level of scientific insight and analytical thinking, in accordance with good scientific practice and research ethics standards.
Three research schools and a strong academic community
The faculty has three local research schools that offer thematically focused courses, academic networks, and communities across departments and disciplines:
- Research School in Clinical and Developmental Psychology (CDP)
- Research School for Social Interaction and Growth (GHIG)
- International Graduate School in Integrative Neuroscience (IGSIN)
In addition, the faculty is affiliated with the Nordic Research School in Educational Research (NORED).
