Research
The whole world is our field of study, and we put human experience and everyday life in focus. The department comprises a series of active research groups and projects working on topics such as community building, kinship, gender, religion, ecology, and politics, as well as global processes of change in relation to climate, migration, technology and the economy.

Our department offers a one year programme, bachelor, master, postgraduate training and further education in social anthropology, targeted towards students who want to understand what it means to be human in a changing global world.
