Research
I am a medical doctor and jurist working as an associate professor in public health at the Bergen Centre for Ethics and Priority Setting in Health https://www4.uib.no/en/research/research-centres/bergen-centre-for-ethics-and-priority-setting-in-health-bceps.
I hold a PhD in medical anthropology focusing on the implementation of global maternal health care policies in Burkina Faso. Currently, my research interests can broadly be divided into 3 main topics of interest:
- Real-life priority-setting in Norway
- Implementation of the Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPDSR) system in Ethiopia and Tanzania
- Studies of medico-legal practices in the Norwegian welfare state
