• Tropical interannual variability
• Pacific Decadal Variability and Atlantic Multidecadal Variability
• Monsoons
• Climate predictions and climate services

Since 2025, I am also leading The Norwegian Research School for Climate-Informed Innovation and Decision-making funded by the Research Council of Norway.
