Borrow or buy course literature

If you need to find and borrow literature for, for example, your bachelor’s or master’s thesis, you can find relevant titles in the reading list for your course. You can also use the University Library’s search service, Oria, to search for additional literature.

Find and Borrow Course Literature (Reading List)

You will find reading lists for the courses you are enrolled in on Mitt UiB. You can also view the reading list on the course page at uib.no, but you must first log in to Mitt UiB to access the PDF files.

In Oria, you can search the University Library’s printed and electronic resources, including books, e‑books, articles, journals, theses, reference works, music and films. You can also search for material held by other academic and research libraries in Norway.

  • The University Library has dedicated libraries for each faculty, with staffed service desks where you can get help with searching, reference management, finding course literature, and more.
  • The University Library works closely with teaching staff to ensure that correct and up‑to‑date information about course literature is available.
