Service declaration on information

On this page you'll find an outline the university’s responsibilities regarding student information, and what is expected of you as a student when it comes to staying informed at UiB.

The University of Bergen’s website, uib.no, provides a complete overview of study-related and practical information. Mitt UiB (external link) is your personal dashboard, giving you access to key resources, including assignment submission and course updates. Most degree programmes cannot be completed without regular access to and use of Mitt UiB.

To use Mitt UiB and receive academic or administrative emails from the university, you must activate your UiB user account.

UiBtreet (external link)gathers important information for students in one place. Here, you can view your personal timetable, checklists, exam schedules, and useful shortcuts. You log in using your UiB username and password.

Once you’ve logged into one UiB system or service, you usually won’t need to log in again during the same session.

The university’s responsibilities regarding information:

  • To provide relevant and up-to-date information on uib.no and Mitt UiB.
  • To use Mitt UiB to communicate important course-related messages.
  • To offer students internet access via the university’s servers.
