We are excited to share with you the range of activities and research our dynamic research centre has been involved with in 2025.

In 2025 CET launched the ECOBUDGETS project, held the 6th Beyond Oil conference - 10 years after the first was held, and had publications in high impacted journals such as Nature Climate Change.

In his words from the director, CET Director Håvard Haarstad, discusses the role of hope in our research:

- My main takeaway from the hope debates at Beyond Oil and elsewhere is that hope can be a strong driving force for action. Combined with realism and pragmatism, hope can motivate excellent research and actionable knowledge advancing transformations towards sustainability.
