Honorable Mention for the GC Rieber Foundations at the Norwegian Planning Conference 2025
At the Norwegian Planning Conference held on October 21st at Kulturhuset in Oslo, Bettina S. Husebø from SEFAS, University of Bergen, accepted an Honorary Mention on behalf of the GC Rieber Foundations, presented by the Norwegian Housing and Urban Planning Association (BOBY) and in connection with the Norwegian Housing and Urban Planning Award 2025.

The nomination was based on the Senior Experiment at Helgetun in Bergen – a pioneering pilot project in housing and urban planning for older adults. Helgetun is more than a place to live; it’s a framework for social participation, volunteerism, and community. The jury also emphasized the project's strong focus on research, where SEFAS, led by Bettina Husebø, plays a key role.
SEFAS and GC Rieber Foundations continue to collaborate closely on innovative housing models for seniors.
Congratulations to the GC Rieber Foundations for this well-deserved recognition! We at SEFAS proudly take part of this credit!
