The nomination was based on the Senior Experiment at Helgetun in Bergen – a pioneering pilot project in housing and urban planning for older adults. Helgetun is more than a place to live; it’s a framework for social participation, volunteerism, and community. The jury also emphasized the project's strong focus on research, where SEFAS, led by Bettina Husebø, plays a key role.

SEFAS and GC Rieber Foundations continue to collaborate closely on innovative housing models for seniors.

Congratulations to the GC Rieber Foundations for this well-deserved recognition! We at SEFAS proudly take part of this credit!
