CeSAM is UiB’s hub for sustainable area use and management, with expertise from a range of disciplines, including e.g., ecology, law, geography, history, energy transition, and sociology.
We offer a space for you to tap into our hive mind for new insights, tools, and expert knowledge and opinions.
This is how it works:
Send in a proposal for an ‘appointment’ through our sign up form (linked here and below), describing your ‘case’ and indicating the kind of discussion or input you are interested in. If your project is selected, you will be invited to present it and get feedback at a CeSAM Arealverksted. This will to a 2hr moderated workshop focused on your case. Some preparation beforehand, and feedback afterwards, will be required. Through fitting exercises and discussions, we will give you input and aim to give you new insights and tools to take your problem closer to a solution.

Frequency:
One or two sessions per semester, depending on demand.
Who is this for?
Anyone who is able to join in person in Bergen. Maybe you work in a private company, the public sector, or voluntary organization; or you are a private person, in need of expert input on a specific case or idea related to spatial planning or area management , or something entirely different.
