Welcome to the Neuro-SysMed Annual Symposium – save the date, November 30th and December 1st, 2026!

Save the date, November 30 and December 1, 2026, for the 4th Neuro-SysMed Annual Symposium!

We will prepare a varied program that highlights key research areas at Neuro-SysMed, focusing on dementia, ALS, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis (MS). The program will feature international speakers who are renowned experts in their fields, as well as updates on Neuro-SysMed's research.

When

November 30 and December 1, 2026

Where

Solstrand Hotel & Bad at Os, close to Bergen

Registration

will be available here when opened

Program

will be available here closer to the symposium date

Open for talks:

We will make room in the program for talks based on the submission of abstracts, available for both senior and junior researchers. If you wish to do a talk, you need to click the appropriate boxes in the registration form. A committee will then consider your proposal. Not that many will get a spot in the program for a talk, so note that a poster should be an option for you, even if you prefer a talk. Note: a one-page talk abstract in Word format needs to be submitted to Eli.Vidhammer@uib.no BY SEPTEMBER 1 to be considered.

Open for posters:

If you wish to present a poster, you need to click the appropriate boxes in the registration form. When preparing the poster, notice that the preferred poster format is portrait (standing format) H120 x W85. You will also need to prepare a one-page poster abstract in Word format, with the info: title, presenting author(s), author list and affiliations, and abstract, preferably with headlines Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusions. This needs to be submitted to Eli.Vidhammer@uib.no WITHIN OCTOBER 15 to be considered, and to be included in the abstract book.

ECTS participation:

Students/PhD candidates must notice that the symposium is part of the research school course code “NEUROSYSM920 Seminars and Symposium”, and that to get the credits for attending, you also need to present your own research at the symposium, either by talk or poster. Not that many will get a spot in the program for a talk, so note that a poster should be an option for you, even if you prefer a talk. You must also make sure to register for NEUROSYSM920 (external link) in StudentWeb.

Welcome!
