Together with partners at Bielefeld University, Nova Lisboa University, Erasmus Rotterdam University and Karolinska Institutet (NEW COLLABORATOR) we are building on last year’s success.

Join us for a new round of the international course “Preparedness for health crises: a multidisciplinary approach” this fall. This Blended Intensive Programme for Master and PhD students combines online learning with an intensive on-site component, bringing together students and lecturers from different Europan countries.

The course draws on perspectives from public health, medicine, social sciences, law, and communication. It addresses key themes such as governance, risk communication, inequality, and societal impact.

Digital part (3ECTS):
online lectures and groupwork from September 28 till October 12.
Bergen part (+1 ECTS):
lectures, simulation excercises, international conference, presentations and field trip in Bergen from October 19 til October 27, 2026.

The course reflects the Pandemic Centre’s commitment to interdisciplinary education and to strengthening capacity for future health crisis preparedness.

What is a BIP programme?

A Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is a course that combines online learning with a short, intensive on-site programme where participants meet in person. This format allows participants from different countries and backgrounds to learn together while keeping travel time limited.
