Using the cluster means contributing to the community
If you are affiliated with one of Polyfon's cluster partners, you may apply for a range of funding schemes that support the development of knowledge and practice. Further details are available on the pages above.
By making use of Polyfon's funding opportunities, you contribute to the cluster's shared goals by strengthening collaboration, generating new knowledge and supporting better practice.
What funding can you apply for?
Research funding supports research projects with a focus on practice relevance and user involvement, including both local projects and pilot projects designed to support larger external funding applications. Deadlines: 1 March and 1 October.
Development funding supports projects that help create more and better music therapy practice across services. Deadline: 1 June.
Dissemination funding supports events and dissemination activities, including speaker fees, travel costs, films, brochures, and seminars connected to the Polyfon Conference. Deadlines: 1 March, 1 June and 1 October.
Summer scholarships give students the opportunity to work on an academic or professional project during the summer. Deadline: 1 March.
All deadlines are at 13:00 (CET/CEST). If a deadline falls on a Saturday or public holiday, applications submitted by 13:00 on the next working day will be accepted.
How applications are assessed
Applications for research funding and development funding are assessed by independent external committees. Applications for dissemination funding are assessed by the secretariat.
Quality is the primary criterion across all funding schemes. At the same time, applications are considered in light of the overall development needs of the cluster.
Projects that promote collaboration between multiple cluster partners and/or involve service users and family carers are regarded as particularly valuable.
