Polyfon's annual meeting and steering group

The annual meeting is the highest governing body of Polyfon, the Norwegian music therapy knowledge cluster. The annual meeting elects a steering group, which is responsible for updating and further developing Polyfon's professional platform and strategy.

The composition and role of the annual meeting

The annual meeting is the highest governing body of the cluster and is held once a year, no later than 15 June. It consists of one representative from each cluster partner, three representatives from the lived experience panel, and three student representatives (one from each of the cluster's three regions).

Matters considered by the annual meeting

  • Approval of the annual report and accounts
  • Amendments to the Cluster Agreement
  • Election of the steering group and nomination committee
  • Matters submitted for consideration

The composition of the steering group

Under the Cluster Agreement, which entered into force on 1 January 2026, the annual meeting elects a steering group consisting of nine representatives. Following the election at the annual meeting on 10 June 2026, the steering group is composed as follows:

  • Geir Davidsen, Head of Department, Grieg Academy, University of Bergen. Chair (2026-2030)
  • Randi-Luise Møgster, Divisional Director, Division of Mental Health Services, Helse Bergen. Deputy Chair (2026-2028)
  • Øystein Bratvold, Director, Agency for Mental Health and Substance Use Services, Bergen Municipality (2026-2030)
  • Kenneth Dybdahl, Chair, Polyfon's lived experience panel (2026-2030)
  • Astrid Kvalbein, Rector, Norwegian Academy of Music (2026-2028)
  • Jacob Nødseth, Chair, Committee for Culture, Sports and Inclusion, Vestland County Council (2026-2030)
  • Iris Anette Olsen, Head of Department, ABUP, Sørlandet Hospital Trust (2026-2030)
  • Silje Rasmussen Sandnes, Deputy Chair, Polyfon's lived experience panel (2026-2028)
  • Jon Wergeland, Municipal Director, Child and Family Services, Kristiansand Municipality (2026-2028)

The responsibilities of the steering group

The steering group is responsible for ensuring that the aims and principles underpinning the cluster collaboration are achieved. This includes:

  • updating and further developing Polyfon's professional platform and strategy
  • approving activities and projects involving all cluster partners and representatives from the lived experience panel
  • approving significant changes to such activities and projects and monitoring their progress
  • ensuring appropriate frameworks for the cluster's funding and professional collaboration
  • approving the cluster's annual budget and any significant budget revisions
