Polyfon's working groups

Polyfon establishes working groups on topics of current relevance, based on the needs and development of the cluster.

Composition

The working groups are composed as follows:

  • The working groups include representatives from relevant management levels, services and professional environments.
  • Participating organisations are represented at as similar a level as possible.
  • Representatives have influence over the strategic processes within their organisations.
  • The working groups promote collaboration between leadership, research, practice and lived experience expertise.

Polyfon has two types of working groups: working groups for service development and working groups for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Mandate for working groups for service development

Based on current service user and societal needs, the working groups for service development shall:

  • Focus on collaboration and coordination that can support the development of new, research-informed music therapy services.
  • Promote interaction between music therapy services and wider opportunities for musical activity and cultural participation in the community.
  • Provide input to the secretariat and steering group on identified needs related to knowledge, competence development and dissemination within the field.

Mandate for working groups for interdisciplinary collaboration

The working group for interdisciplinary education collaboration shall:

  • Contribute to strengthening interdisciplinary competence and capacity in teaching, research and development related to music and health.
  • Focus particularly on professional education programmes in health, social care and education, while also engaging with other programmes at upper secondary, college and university level.
