Recent advances in medical imaging methods i.e. magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET) and ultrasound (US) enable refined characterization of cancers from various origins. The imaging methods provide detailed information on microstructural- and functional tumor characteristics. Furthermore, the use of novel machine learning (ML) techniques on diagnostic images allows expedited automated radiomic tumor profiling, yielding information potentially relevant for prognostication and tailoring of treatment.

Financial support

The group is funded by the University of Bergen, Helse Bergen, Helse Vest and the Bergen Research Foundation.
