Emotion & Cognition Group (ECG)
We are investigating mechanisms of how humans regulate emotions and cognitive functions such as attention. These mechanisms are being studied in healthy samples and clinical samples such as children, adolescents, and adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and depression. We use different methodological approaches such as questionnaires, performance-based tests, psychophysiological measures of heart rate variability, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation (tVNS).
