The Lingclim group organised a seminar with French colleagues from the University of Bordeaux and the University of Côte d'Azur – Nice, focussing on reported speech in different text genres, including climate discourse.

The international “Bergen Summer Research School” (BSRS) in its 18th edition opened on June 10th, with close to 100 PhD participants from more than 30 countries. Kjersti Fløttum gave a plenary opening talk on climate communication and participated also as one of the teachers in the course “Sustainability and Democratic Practices”.

The LINGCLIM group participated at the 40th International Laud Symposium, 25-28 August, 2025, at the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU in Landau, Germany). Johanna Gunn and Øyvind Gjerstad presented new Lingclim research and Kjersti Fløttum gave the keynote “People’s motivation for climate action and preferences for language use”.
