Tax Law – Contemporary Issues
The University of Bergen invites you to a one-day conference on contemporary issues in tax law, organized with financial support from the Research Council of Norway and the Norwegian Tax Administration.
The conference brings together leading international and Nordic scholars to address some of the most pressing tax issues of both international and national concern. Topics include the application of general anti-avoidance rules and VAT anti-abuse doctrines, questions of state sovereignty and jurisdiction to tax, the design of net wealth taxes, and the deductibility of litigation costs.
The event is open to officials from the tax authorities, practitioners, academics, and students. It is organized in prolongation of a two-day PhD course in tax law, with the overall aim of strengthening the research community in Bergen and promoting collaboration with other institutions and international experts.
Participation is free of charge for registered attendees.
