Tax and duties
The Research Group for Tax and Duties is a research group at the Faculty of Law, University of Bergen.
About the research group
Members of the research group work within the core areas of tax law or other tax-law-related fields. Tax law concerns the legal rules governing taxation and is closely connected to private law and other areas of economic law. As tax law encompasses tax treaties, EEA/EU law, and other international agreements and measures, it also constitutes an important field of international research. The research group serves as a forum for discussion and the development of research projects within these areas, and it organises seminars, conferences, and PhD courses, among other activities.
The heads of the research group are Associate Professor Henrik Skar og professor II Peter Koerver Schmidt (external link).
Other internal members of the group are Postdoctoral Research Fellow Guri Lindblad and PhD candidates Jacob Norvik Jervell, Mari Knapstad Nilssen, and Per Morten Pind. The group also has external members: Associate Professors Tormod Torvanger (external link) and Elin Sarai from NHH, Professor Emeritus Frederik Zimmer, and PhD candidate Erlend Malde from the University of Agder (UiA).
