System spesifications
Objectives
4x, 10x and 20x magnification.
This system is dedicated to higher throughput rather than higher resolution.
Live cell imaging
Typically, but not restricted to, cells are imaged with 2 hour intervals over 2-5 days, and examples of studies on cell cultures are proliferation, viability, cell migration and invasion, apoptosis and cytotoxicity. Imaging and analysis of spheroids and organoids are also possible.
- Options for experiments with green and red fluorescence and label-free brightfield.
- Running protocols suitable for many types of experiments related to the available analysis modules.
- Options for up to six 96-well plates, multi-users and simultaneously running experiments with different time scheduling and different objectives between plate positions.
- Options for alternative vessel geometry.
Multi-user system
Since this is a multi-user system where multiple experiments run simultaneously with different schedules, it is essential to thoroughly familiarize yourself with the instrument guidelines and rules—particularly to avoid disrupting experiments that are already in progress.
Wound maker
For wound healing assays in 96 well plates, MIC has a Wound-maker that makes identical wounds in all wells simultaneously. Contact MIC for advice on how to plate the cells, and help with the Wound-maker.
Analysis modules
You can have the IncuCyte software on you own computer, connected to the device and set up analysis pipelines. Contact MIC for getting the software. The following analysis modules are available:
- Cell Migration
- Cell-by-cell and Advanced Label-free Classification
- Single and multi Spheroid imaging
- Organoid (embedded in marti-gel) imaging
- Neurotrack
