Vulnerable young people's meeting with welfare services
This project aims to give a valuable insight into how adolescents and teenagers experience the meeting and interplay between different welfare services.
About the research project
This project was created in the wake of the PhD project: Local drug prevention: From policy to practice. In cooperation with a masters student we have carried out additional focus group interviews with adolescents/teenagers in the youth support team about their experiences when encountering and dealing with welfare services.
The research project aims to give a valuable insight into how adolescents/teenagers experience the meeting and interplay between different welfare services, in order to highlight the importance of coordinating services for vulnerable youth. The project has a health promotion orientation and uses theories from Salutogense, Positive Youth Development and Empowerment.
