Forskninga mi dreiar seg for ein stor del om bruk av høgoppløysande multikjerne (1H, 13C, 15N) og multidimensjonal (2D/3D) NMR-spektroskopi av isotopisk anrika (13C, 15N) protein i løysing og 2D NMR-spektroskopi av proteinbindande peptid. NMR-spektrene kan gje informasjon om struktur av molekyl, dynamiske prosessar (utveksling) og vekselverknader (binding) mellom til dømes store biomolekyl og mindre ligand molekyl. Eg er mest interessert i dei metodiske sidene av NMR-spektroskopi, og eg arbeider med NMR-spektroskopi innanfor mange bruksområde i kjemi.

Masteroppgåver
NMR-spektrosopi av protein og peptid: Masteroppgåver blir tilbudt innanfor bruk av høgoppløysande multikjerne (1H, 13C, 15N og andre) og multidimensjonal (1D, 2D og 3D) NMR-spektroskopi brukt på protein, peptid og mindre molekyl som vekselverkar med protein. NMR-spektroskopi kan gje viktig informasjon om funksjon og virkemåte til/mekanismar for protein på molekylnivå i løysing. Dette kan vera strukturell informasjon for aktive sete, binding av peptid og småmolekylar (substrat, kofaktorar, inhibitorar og medisinmolekyl) og dynamiske prosessar (utveksling av små ligandmolekyl). Valg av NMR-metodar og etterprosesseringsprosedyrar vil vera sterkt avhengige av kva for type informasjon ein er ute etter i kvart tilfelle.
Denne forskinga er eit samarbeid med institutt for Molekylærbiologi.
