Om forskergruppen
Forskningen vår tar for seg utfordringer knyttet til helse gjennom tidlig oppdagelse av legemidler og til bærekraftig og ny bruk av bioressurser, ved å utvikle og anvende analytiske og syntetiske metoder i organisk kjemi. Vi er interessert i bioprospektering basert på både marine og terrestriske kilder, og utvikling av kjemisk teknologi. Vi jobber med:
- isolasjon, strukturoppklaring og syntese av nye naturprodukter
- undersøkelse av struktur-aktivitetsforhold
- optimalisering av separasjonsteknologier og oppskaleringsprosesser
- optimalisering av biologiske aktive forbindelser for legemiddelutvikling
- utvikling av nye legemiddelformuleringer
Molekylene av interesse spenner fra polymerer i legemiddelformuleringer til proteiner, peptider, lipider og komplekse multifunksjonelle naturlige produkter og relaterte forbindelser av syntetisk og naturlig opprinnelse.
