Women in mathematics - a personal reflection

Abstract:

I’ve had an unusual journey to mathematical research. I’ll share some reflections on my background, including my path moving from the US to Norway to the UK. I’ll talk a bit about what my work looks like, and what it’s like to do math research today. I'll also speculate a bit on the future.
