About the Department

The Department of Physics and Technology conducts research and education across physics and technology, from space physics and quantum physics to energy, process technology and instrumentation. The department offers study opportunities at bachelor's, master's and PhD level, and contributes to research collaborations in Norway and internationally.

Research

Research at the Department ranges from fundamental physics to applied technology. The Department has eleven research groups and hosts SFI Smart Ocean. Researchers also collaborate with international organisations including CERN and the European Space Agency (ESA).

Study Physics and Technology in Bergen
