Short info
I research how people in prehistoric times exploited and used the nature around them. I am particularly interested in trapping facilities for wild reindeer, of which there are many in Norway. The Early Iron Age is the period I work with most, where research on ceramics is an important component.
Research
I am an associate professor at the University Museum of Bergen, Department of Cultural History. My research focuses on two main interests: 1) How prehistoric people exploited and used the nature they were surrounded by and 2) social development and materiality in the Early Iron Age.
